As Executive Chef / Partner of Toro, Jamie Bissonnette collaborates with acclaimed Chef/owner Ken Oringer, on a truly authentic Barcelona inspired tapas menu.

An early bloomer in the kitchen, Bissonnette gravitated towards The Discovery Channel's cooking shows rather than cartoons. By the age of 19, he had already earned his Culinary Arts degree from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and he spent his early twenties "eating and working" in Paris, San Francisco, New York and Phoenix. These experiences fed his culinary drive and are conveyed in Bissonnette's menus everyday.

After working in some of Boston's most acclaimed kitchens, Bissonnette continues to attract both Boston natives and travelers alike to Toro. Here, he enjoys creating unique charcuteries and unparalleled Spanish cuisine. Bissonnette and Oringer's new project, Coppa, is slated to open in October of 2009 and will be a neighborhood Enotecca.
