Butter Lettuce and Apple Salad with Sherry Vinaigrette

Trim lettuce leaves and wash thoroughly. Dry completely with clean tea towel.

Make dressing: In medium bowl, whisk vinegar, sugar and mustard until blended. Whisk in canola oil and olive oil until thick. Season to taste.

Heat oven to 350°F. While the oven is heating, core apples and dice into 1/4-inch pieces. Toss with 1 tablespoon of dressing.

Place cheese curds on baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper. Bake 3 minutes or until warm. Dress lettuce with enough dressing to coat leaves. Divide cheese curds evenly among 4 salad plates. Top with lettuce, diced apples and hazelnuts. Drizzle with any remaining dressing.
