In large skillet over medium heat, fry bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels, then crumble. Set aside.

Discard all but 1 teaspoon bacon fat. Add garlic to skillet and sauté, stirring constantly until golden brown. Remove from heat and cool garlic on a paper plate.

In bowl, stir together blue cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, salt, and cooled garlic; mix well.

Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with breadsticks, vegetable strips, pear and apple slices.


*If unable to find peppered bacon, add 1/2 teaspoon pepper to blue cheese mixture.
