For vinaigrette:

Whisk balsamic vinegar, garlic, pepper and salt in a small bowl. Slowing whisk in olive oil. 


For salad:


1

Cut tomatoes and mozzarella into 1/4-inch thick slices. Arrange tomatoes and mozzarella on a serving platter. Sprinkle with basil; drizzle with dressing. Garnish with cherry tomato halves and basil leaves. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
