Combine broth and garlic powder in slow cooker. Heat on high, covered, 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, combine sausage, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup romano and egg. Mix well and form into 48 mini meatballs. Cook meatballs in medium nonstick skillet over medium heat, turning, until fully cooked. Drain and add meatballs to broth along with escarole, carrots and pasta and cook, covered, 45 minutes to an hour. Serve hot and sprinkle with remaining romano.
