Ranch House Macaroni and Cheese

Fun for kids! With cute wagon wheel shaped pasta and a bit of ranch dressing in the cheddar cheese sauce, this dish will soon become a family favorite. Add cooked chicken for a heartier entrée.

Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, sauté jalapeño peppers in butter in a Dutch oven until crisp-tender. Reduce heat to medium-low. Whisk flour until combined. Gradually whisk in milk, salt, cumin, red pepper flakes and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and whisk for 2 minutes or until thickened. Reduce heat to low; gradually stir in cheddar until melted. Add pasta, sweet red peppers and ranch dressing; heat through, stirring constantly. Garnish with green onions. 


Recipe Tip:
Any brand of Wisconsin sharp cheddar cheese can be used.
