Bacon and Cheddar Cheese Ball

Jazz up this holiday party favorite with the addition of smoky bacon and green onions; use a superior sharp cheddar cheese for a bolder combination of flavors that’s sure to complement whatever you pair it with.

Cooking Instructions

Fry bacon in a large skillet until crisp; drain on paper towels. Cool. Crumble bacon.

Beat cream cheese in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in half of the bacon, cheddar, green onions and red pepper flakes if desired; mix well. Shape into a ball; wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Roll cheese ball in remaining bacon. Serve with crackers and apple slices.

 


Recipe Tips:
  • Any brand of Wisconsin cream cheese or sharp cheddar cheese can be used. 
  • An 8-ounce package of Wisconsin cream cheese would also work in this recipe.
