For burger patties:

Place ground turkey, turkey sausage, bread crumbs, basil, oregano, fennel, garlic powder, salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes in large mixing bowl; lightly combine with your fingers. Make sure ingredients are evenly incorporated, but do not compact meat. Shape into 6 patties. Refrigerate while preparing vegetables.


For vegetables:

Place onion and pepper slices in medium bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat. Preheat grill to medium high. Place vegetables in grill basket; grill until softened and lightly charred, about 8 minutes, turning mixture often to prevent burning. Move to cool side of grill, keeping warm.

To finish burgers: Place turkey burger patties on hot grill. Grill until bottoms are browned, about 5 minutes; flip and continue grilling until cooked through, about 5 minutes. When burgers are almost ready, top with mozzarella and asiago cheese slices.

Toast buns on grill, as desired. Serve burgers, topped with grilled veggies, on warm buns.
