Banana Dessert Fondue

Servings: 4


3 cups cornflakes, crushed
1 cup dry white wine
2 cups (8 ounces) Wisconsin aged Swiss cheese, grated
2 tablespoons flour
Salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon pepper, preferably white pepper
4 bananas, cut in chunks for dipping

Cooking Directions:

Place 3/4 cup cornflakes in each of 4 shallow bowls.

Heat wine in fondue pot over moderate heat until bubbly. Toss cheese with flour; add by handfuls to wine, stirring constantly with wooden spoon until cheese melts. Stir in salt, nutmeg and pepper. Spear banana chunks on 4 fondue forks, dip in hot cheese mixture and roll in cornflakes.
