3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter1/3 cup white Karo syrup1 cup brown sugar1 teaspoon vanilla4 cups oatmeal1 cup flaked coconut1/2 cup chopped walnuts1 cup chocolate chips1/2 cup peanut butter
In a large saucepan over low heat, melt and stir butter, syrup, brown sugar and vanilla. Stir in oats, coconut and nuts. Continue to cook over low heat, stirring occasionally for 3 minutes. Using a buttered spatula, press mixture evenly into a buttered 9 inch square pan. Cool for 15 minutes. In a small saucepan, melt chips and peanut butter. Spread over oatmeal mixture. Cool completely and cut into 1 1/2 inch-squares.
