Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese Apple Bread
Servings: Makes 1 5x9 loaf
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened 2 eggs, slightly beaten 2 cups flour 2/3 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups apples, peeled, cored and shredded 1 cup walnuts, chopped 1/2 cup (2 ounces) Wisconsin yellow or white Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Cooking Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 5x9x3-inch loaf pan. Combine butter, eggs, and dry ingredients. Blend well. Stir in apples, walnuts and cheese. Turn into prepared pan. (Batter will be very stiff.) Bake 55 to 60 minutes. Let cool in pan 10 minutes; then remove and cool on rack.
