Savory Wisconsin Brie-En-Croute
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
2 teaspoons melted butter
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
Dash of cayenne (optional)
1 sheet refrigerated pie crust
1 whole 5 inch round (approximately 12 ounces) Wisconsin Brie cheese
In a bowl, mix together walnuts, butter, rosemary and cayenne. Unfold pastry dough on baking sheet; spoon walnut mixture in center of crust in a 5 inch circle. Place Brie in center of pastry on top of walnut mixture. Fold dough over Brie to center and pinch to seal. Invert Brie on baking sheet and brush top with melted butter. (Recipe can be prepared to this point and refrigerated up to 2 days until ready to bake.) Bake at 350° F for 15 to 20 minutes or until pastry is browned. Cool to room temperature before serving.
