Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery was established in 1910. We are a dairy cooperative, with 400 family dairy farms, specializing in the production of 500-pound barrel Cheddar cheese, whey, bagged or bulk. In 1983, we were proclaimed the "Cheese Curd Capital of Wisconsin" by Governor Anthony Earl.
We sell natural cheddar cheese curds in 2oz, 5oz, 1lb, 5lb, and 20lb packages along with bulk curds to the retail/foodservice market. We also package 5lb Cheddar Cheese Curd Crumbles. We offer a customized flushed sealed bag that has been tested to have a shelf life of 6 months, when the cheese is kept refrigerated and unopened. Our retail packages are 2oz, 5oz, and 1lb. We also have 4-ounce and 1 pound fresh snack packages sold out of our retail stores. There are 6 flavors of cheese curds available: Natural, Garlic, Cajun, Ranch, Hot Buffalo, and Taco. Our products are distributed to local, national and international customers, and we export whey and cheese curds.
Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery also operates a retail outlet at their plants in Ellsworth and Comstock, Wisconsin which are open 7 days a week at 9 am. Fresh curds are available 7 days a week at 11 am at the Ellsworth location. The stores also carry over 200 varieties of Wisconsin Cheese. Our Comstock plant, located at 1858 Hwy 63 in Comstock, Wisconsin, is where we make our specialty cheeses. Visit www.ellsworthcheese.com or find us on Facebook at EllsworthCheese.
