History:

Bletsoe Cheese Factory was one of the five original factories in the town of Hamburg in the 1900s. It is the only one still fully operational. The process utilized by this factory in making cheese involves a "hands-on" procedure versus an automated system. Bonnie Bletsoe and her Son Mark Bletsoe are the owners and licensed cheesemakers of Bletsoe Cheese, Inc. They bought the plant in 1983. They have developed routes within a 100-mile radius and distribute both their cheese and cheese from other plants.
