Crab Bisque Macaroni and Cheese

Enjoy all of the flavor of Crab Bisque Soup in this hearty mac and cheese. A sharp cheddar and monterey jack cheese sauce with just a splash of sherry takes this dish to a whole new level.

Cooking Instructions

Heat oven to 375°F.

Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain.

Cook and stir onion with butter in a Dutch oven over medium-low heat until tender. Whisk in flour until lightly brown. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, milk, salt, rosemary and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and whisk for 2 minutes or until thickened. Reduce heat to low; gradually stir in 2/3 cup each cheddar and monterey jack until melted. Stir in pasta, crabmeat, tomatoes and sherry if desired. Remove from the heat.

Spoon pasta mixture into a greased 2-quart oval or 11 x 7-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheddar and monterey jack. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.  


Recipe Tip:
Any brand of Wisconsin sharp cheddar and monterey jack cheese can be used.
