Heat oven to 400°F with pizza stone placed on a lower rack.

Toss butternut squash, onion, 1 tablespoon oil, salt and pepper on a baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until squash is tender, stirring once. Remove from oven.

Increase heat to 450°F. Roll out pizza dough into a 12-inch circle, about 1/2 inch thick, on lightly floured parchment paper. Brush crust with remaining oil. Spread butternut squash mixture to within 1 inch of the edge. Top with cheeses, apple slices and bacon.

Transfer pizza with parchment onto baking stone; bake for 18-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling. Remove pizza from oven; place on a cutting board. Garnish with sage. Cool slightly before cutting.

Serve with parmesan cheese and pepper flakes if desired.
