Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 slices Wisconsin Pasteurized Process cheese
4 hamburger buns, toasted
Lettuce
4 tomato slices
4 onion slices
Ketchup
Mustard
Pickle slices
Cooking Directions:
Combine meat, onion and seasonings; mix well. Shape and cook as directed below, topping with process cheese slices. Place each patty on bun topped with lettuce, tomato and onion. Top each patty with remaining ingredients.
Broil: Place patties on greased rack of broiler pan. Broil both sides to desired doneness. Top each with Wisconsin cheese; continue broiling until cheese is melted.
Grill: Place patties on greased grill over medium coals (coals will be glowing). Grill, uncovered, 5 minutes on each side to desired doneness. Top each with Wisconsin cheese; continue grilling until cheese is melted.
