Ingredients:
1 cup butter 1/2 cup light brown sugar 2 cups flour 1 egg white, lightly beaten Decorative colored sugar
Cooking Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour. Gather into a ball and chill several hours or overnight. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut with 2 inch round cookie cutter and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Prick surface of dough with a fork or use bamboo skewer to create simple holiday designs. Reshape leftover dough and roll. Bake at 300° F for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool on wire rack. To decorate, brush rim of cookie with egg white and roll in colored sugar.
